APMM mencegah penyelundupan 450 Kg daun ketum di Perairan Kuala Perlis, Malaysia.

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) had a break-out of 45 with a plastic parcel, weighing 450 kilogrammes (kg) in the waters of Kuala Perlis, yesterday.

The Kuala Perlis Maritime Zone Director, the Maritime Commander Mohd Shafie Paing said during the Fortress patrol, the MMEA detected a boat in a suspicious state leading to the boundary of the neighbouring country at a position of 0.5 nautical miles from the estuary of Kuala Perlis at 3.45 pm yesterday.

“Realising the presence of a national MARITIME enforcement boat, an suspect responds to the suspected parcel of the heads of the waters of the sea before escaping to the neighbouring country.

The results of inspections and surveys at the location of the parcel were discarded, the MMEA found 45 black plastic packaging which was suspected to have a 450 kilogrammes worth of RM 9,000, “he said through a statement today.

He said all seized results were brought to the Kuala Perlis Maritime zone base to be submitted to the investigating officer for investigation under section 30 (3) of the Poisons Act 1952.

He said this was the third seizure of the coup involving the spring of the M in this week with an overall LOM value of nearly RM 50,000.

“We believe this is a well-planned crime and will keep track of the syndicate’s main mastermind and ensure that this is to be disabled in the near future,” he says.

Yesterday named the Perlis MMEA to break down a smuggling 36 to have a 360 kilogramme of an amount of RM3, 600 to the neighbouring country, in the waters of Kuala Perlis, last Saturday.
