Ro-ro cargo ship SANSTAR DREAM collided with berthed tanker YAMAYURI at Tsuruga port, western Honshu, at around 0812 Tokyo time Oct 7. SANSTAR DREAM unmoored and started maneuvering to leave port, bound for Kanazawa, but was pushed onto tanker, which was moored next to her. SANSTAR DREAM was taken back to berth and berthed, both ships remained berthed as of 2320 Tokyo time Oct 7. Understood both ships sustained damages, extent unknown, but no leak reported.
